Jill Barabas moved to Gainesville Florida in 2003 to pursue an education in Animal Sciences at the University of Florida. Her undergraduate experience included focus in beef cow and equine sciences and gave her a strong production medicine background. Upon entering veterinary school at UF Jill immediately focused on large animal medicine joining the student chapters of equine and bovine practitioners. In 2013 she furthered her education by enrolling at Chi to gain a certification in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Barabas began working as a volunteer at Ted Yoho and Associates in 2003. She was eventually hired as an associate veterinarian after her graduation from veterinary school and continued to work for Kanapaha Veterinary Services until 2014. She loved mobile practice in North Florida and worked with all species of farm animals. Dr. Barabas’s clientele included cattle and small animal ruminant producers, performance horses, individual pet owners, boarding facilities and family farms.After beginning her acupuncture education in 2013 Dr. Barabas greatly enjoyed integrating this knowledge into her traditional practice.
