Bio

She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1989 with an emphasis in neurology, animal behavior, and the newly arising field of cognitive ethology, the study of animal consciousness. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. While in school she worked for the Clinical Pathology Laboratory and was president of the student chapter of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association for 3 years, allowing her to introduce the student body to alternative healing modalities and to learn from many of the pioneers of holistic veterinary medicine by organizing local conferences and workshops. She moved to Florida and worked as an associate for 2 years before starting her relief practice in South Florida. She did relief work for 30+ practices in the South Florida area while completing advanced studies at Chi. After receiving her acupuncture certification she started her house call practice in 2001, her first patient a 20 year old Himalayan cat in kidney failure that hated to go to the clinic. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.
