Bio

Dr. Rimar received her BS in marine biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 1998 and her DVM from Ross University in 2005. She has been studying and practicing TCVM since 1998 and received her CVA in 2005 from Chi and the China National Society of TCVM. Dr. Rimar was the first TCVM intern in the US at the University of Florida, and worked closely with Dr. Xie for almost two years, helping edit several of his books and articles. Dr. Rimar has also written book chapters in Xie's Chinese Veterinary Herbology and an internal medicine textbook. Dr. Rimar teaches basic acupuncture principles and techniques as well as advanced techniques and labs at Chi in both large and small animal classes, as well as the veterinary technician courses. Dr. Rimar now has her own peaceful clinic, Veterinary Healing Arts Center, in St. Pete Beach focusing on natural healing. She is also an associate editor for AJTCVM and has lectured in the U.S., Canada, and China on TCVM principles and acupuncture techniques.
